Thank you once again to Oldham Scottish Pipe Band who hosted this event and Graham Houghton in particular for his part in organising it. Once again we owe a great debt to Bernadette who did a great job as a steward to keep the flow of competitors moving so well.
It was with great warmth that we welcomed Harry Stevenson to be our main adjudicator for the day. He had flown in from Northern Ireland to be with us.
And I am also very grateful to P/M Jim Gray of the Scots Guards Association who made such a good job of adjudicating the Novice Chanter section. It was his first visit to us in a judging capacity and it was a pleasure both for us and for the competitors to have him on board.
