27 competitors, 77 performances. And 27 trophies to go for.
With the A Grade MSR running for the first time, we need three more trophies for this event. For 1st prize we brought back into use a trophy with a long history in this branch, the Michael Kinahan Cup, first run in 1963 by P/M Walter McMinn of Mount Carmel Pipe Band. For 2nd and 3rd place we brought in two new trophies made specially for this event - the Kevin Regan Memorial Shield and the Joe Swarbrick Cup.
Many thanks to all the people who worked so well to make everything run so smoothly. A particular word of thanks goes to Neil MacDonald and the other stewards who kept the flow of competitors moving so well, and to Jim Dillon for introducing each competitor before their performance.
