This proved to be a most enjoyable day for everyone involved. The organisation was very good and everything went smoothly. There was a good turnout of competitors, 24 in all. Our thanks go to all those who made it such a success: the GMCFS pipe band for providing the venue the stewards, John Teasdale, Sarah Owens and Peter Doyle, for keeping everyone informed throughout the day and getting them all to the right place at the right time, to Keith Wilkinson as ever for his work as Contest Secretary, to Cameron Edgar, our adjudicator for all the main events, and finally to Owen Nash for adjudicating the Novice Chanter section.

I didn't manage to get the usual group photo of all the competitors this year but included in these photos are most of the prize winners, with the marked exception of Richard Brown who has set something of a record today, taking four 1sts and one 2nd.
