These pictures were taken during some of the Stirling University Piping Summer Schools
in the early 1980s. This first one is during one of the evening ceilidhs in Airthrey Castle.
The two pipers nearest the camera are Julian Smart and his sister.
Julian went on to play with the 2nd Battalion Scots Guards
and is now with the City of Bristol Pipe Band.
 

Andrew Wright and Duncan MacFadyen are the two tutors in the picture. Can't remember the exact year (early 1980s).
It was the same year that Duncan won the Oban Senior piobaireachd with either Black Donald's March or The Massacre of Glencoe.
